FAST (NO FOOD) for at least 8 hours before scan but MUST drink 32 ounce of water (NO COFFEE/TEA) for enough hydration to have a full bladder (1) one hour before exam. Pre-registration closed January 16th. If submitted, you will receive a confirmation email for your interest. Once priority is determined a list will be sent to UDS for scheduling your appointment date and time. Please answer your phone or you could be skipped over.  ALL personnel should consider scheduling your appointment on your OFF-Duty Day for operational purposes. You will receive a confirmation email (check your spam folder), as well as reminders via email and text message with instructions for your exam.

EsoGuard
You must FAST 2 hours with NO DRINKING before the exam! Billing remains the same as it’s been from previous events without any changes for the department! IF someone was screened for esophageal disease the first time that we held a screening, it would be a great time for them to repeat as they are several years out from the initial test. Exposures, carcinogens, changes in health etc. happen over a few years, so we encourage everyone to take advantage of it again!

We have a backstop of $6,000 per year per patient to reimburse on uncovered imaging costs following a positive Cancerguard™ (Co-pays and deductibles do not apply).
